Alcohol denat is ethanol that has been denatured, in other words, they've added a solvent to it to make it unfit for human consumption. This denaturing process does not change the fact that it is still ethanol, a liquid intoxicant. That said, according to the Shafiʿi madhhab, alcohol denat is an impure substance just like wine.
Allah knows best.
