Wa alaykum salam wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatuHu,
In Surah al-Ma'idah: 6, Allah the Most High says,
أَوْ لامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ
"Or you have touched women."
The most literal reading of this verse implies one's hand touching and that ending one's ablution. Not sexual intercourse. This is how Ibn 'Umar interpreted the verse too. Considering it to mean something else, like intercourse, that goes against the verse's literal meaning.
And Allah knows best.
