Mihrab Publishing (referred to by “us” or “we” herein) generally processes orders in 1-3 working days; if for any reason it will be longer, we will attempt to communicate with the buyer regarding an estimated processing time.
Generally, shipping is calculated according to an order’s weight, especially for airmail and courier services. Large orders, like those transported as sea-freight, may be calculated by volume. Shipping costs are calculated by the respective shipping services and the customer acknowledges that the prices we provide, as an estimate or final sale price, do not include shipping; shipping costs are reckoned separately and added to the total.
Accordingly, a customer may select from a variety of different shipping services. We recommend using only services that offer tracking, signature confirmation, and guarantee delivery to one’s address. The buyer should do due diligence to make sure that these three features are available with the options listed below specific to the destination/shipping address.
Shipping in the UK
Shipping with Royal Mail. First-class post (standard or recorded delivery) aims to deliver by the next working day after posting. Second-class post (standard or recorded delivery) aims to deliver by the third. Standard first-class or second-class do not provide tracking. Recorded first-class or second-class requires signature confirmation.
Courier services for UK locations excluding Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and UK Offshore Destinations. Generally, delivery is the next working day after posting. This service provides tracking and requires signature confirmation. For Northern Ireland, there is a 3-6 working day courier service for orders weighing more than 2kg; and for parcels weighing less, standard or recorded delivery as outlined above. For the Scottish Highlands and UK Offshore Destinations, delivery is by three working days after posting. This service includes tracking and requires a signature confirmation for parcels weighing up to 30kg. For parcels weighing less, standard or recorded delivery as outlined above is available.
Shipping Outside the UK
Non-UK delivery options are available upon request. Below are the common shipping options:
Standard airmail aims to deliver in 5-7 working days to Western Europe and 7-10 working days to the rest of the world.
Courier service to Europe includes tracking and generally delivery in 2-8 working days depending on destination. Courier service to destinations outside of Europe may deliver in 2-5 working days depending on destination. This includes tracking to global destinations using services such as DHL, TNT, and FedEx.
Royal Mail Worldwide is economical; expect 5-12 working days and no tracking. This service is for books only in parcels weighing less than 11kg.
We are not liable for any order returned because of an incorrect shipping address or unavailable recipient. If variations of one address were provided between correspondences, and we ship to one of them that turns out mistaken, we are not liable. In such cases, there will be additional shipping and handling charges due. Our terms specific to these situations are outlined below. Please only provide us with a full, complete, and correct shipping address.
The buyer is responsible for all customs fees levied by the destination country’s customs and/or the shipping company. We take no responsibility for orders lost due to confiscation by customs, unpaid custom’s fees, or other such issues. The buyer is responsible for all the paperwork required to import the goods into the destination country, and to ensure that the goods are importable according to local laws. We take no responsibility for any goods lost due to insufficient paperwork and documentation, or found in violation of local laws.
If the recipient is not available, an attempted delivery notification may be left with contact details to re-arrange delivery or pick-up. Arranging this is the customer's responsibility. Delivery will be attempted according to the courier’s policies, after which an order may be returned to us. In such a case, to re-send an order, additional shipping charges will be applied; and as well, handling fees shall be applied at 18% of an order’s value, or else a 35% restocking fee.
We take no responsibility for goods lost when the postal and/or courier services did not guarantee delivery. If the postal service or courier does not guarantee delivery to an address, then we do not guarantee delivery either and take no responsibility for lost items. The buyer should do due diligence to ensure that delivery is guaranteed; please make sure to select a shipping option known to be reliable that guarantees delivery to the destination.
We do not offer any refunds, change of address, or other changes to an order after it has been submitted.
If you receive your goods damaged, you may contact us immediately for an exchange or refund. Please quote your order number when contacting us along with documentation of the damage. We define immediate based on the timestamp on an order’s signature confirmation. We only refund damaged orders when sent to addresses for which the postal or courier service guaranteed delivery.
